Job description

Welding Quality Control Inspector

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Welding QC Inspector to ensure all welding and fabrication work meets quality standards. You'll carry out inspections, support factory acceptance testing, maintain accurate quality records, and help keep production fully traceable. Ideal candidates will bring strong welding inspection experience and a solid understanding of fabrication within M&E or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out quality inspections at all production stages, including factory acceptance testing.
  • Ensure all welding and fabrication work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Monitor welding operations and recommend improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify weld integrity and identify issues early.
  • Detect and document defects or non-conformances, supporting teams in implementing effective corrective actions. * Approve or reject welded components based on established quality criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records, full traceability, and complete electronic quality documentation.
  • Review welding procedures, materials, and welder qualifications to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Present quality insights, lessons learned, and findings during project reviews.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations to support a safe working

Essential requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar quality role within M&E or manufacturing.
  • CSWIP 3.0 certification.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Solid understanding of quality control standards and testing methods.
  • Good mathematical and technical ability.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday: 7am - 4.30pm Friday 7am - 1.30pm
