Project Engineer

Staffline Recruitment Ireland, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join their growing team within the wastewater division. This is a full-time permanent role based in Limerick.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to support the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects from initial concept through to construction. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and produce detailed design documentation and technical drawings;
• Ensure designs prioritise safety, environmental considerations, constructability, and cost efficiency;
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop effective engineering solutions;
• Liaise with clients and relevant stakeholders throughout project stages;
• Conduct site visits and technical assessments to support and validate design work;
• Identify opportunities for innovation and sustainable design solutions;
• Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies;
• Support the delivery of projects in line with agreed timelines and quality standards.

Criteria

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline;
• Experience in a similar Project Engineer role, ideally within wastewater or utilities projects;
• Experience working on Uisce Éireann projects is highly desirable;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ArcGIS;
• Strong understanding of design processes and project delivery;
• Full Irish driving licence (manual required);
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
