Site Engineer

Staffline Recruitment Ireland, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time permanent role based in Limerick.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the delivery of utilities and public realm projects, ensuring works are completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with all safety and quality requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to coordinate daily site activities;
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide on-site operations;
• Carry out precise setting-out using GPS and Total Station equipment;
• Ensure all works are completed in line with company quality standards and procedures;
• Attend site meetings and assist in resolving technical challenges;
• Maintain accurate records of site progress, measurements, and activities;
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations at all times;
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to the project team.

Criteria

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline;
• Previous experience in a similar site engineering role, ideally within utilities or public realm projects;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and general IT systems;
• Experience using GPS and Total Station equipment for setting-out;
• A full Irish driving license (manual, no automatic);
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
