Surgical Sales Specialist

At Staffline Recruitment, we are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and results-driven Surgical Sales Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading supplier of innovative surgical and medical disposable products to hospitals and clinical settings.

This is an exciting field-based opportunity for a commercially focused professional who is passionate about healthcare sales and relationship management. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth, developing existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across both public and private healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver profitable sales growth across the Iskus Health product portfolio in line with agreed targets and timelines.
  • Maximise opportunities within existing hospital accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Increase product usage, market penetration, and compliance within strategic accounts.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, purchasing teams, key opinion leaders, and influencers.
  • Support customers through product selection, implementation, and ongoing usage.
  • Promote products in line with company strategy and industry guidelines.
  • Develop and implement detailed territory and account business plans.
  • Prioritise high-value opportunities and maximise customer-facing selling time.
  • Understand customer needs through effective questioning and solution-based selling techniques.
  • Create urgency, shorten sales cycles, and secure clear customer commitments.
  • Maintain a high level of clinical and product knowledge across both Iskus Health and competitor products.
  • Deliver professional and engaging product demonstrations and clinical training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate territory records, sales forecasts, and customer information.
  • Ensure all administration and reporting duties are completed accurately and on time.
  • Obtain management approval for all pricing proposals before customer commitment.

Interested candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' successful sales experience within medical devices or healthcare sales
    OR
    Current experience as a Registered Nurse, Theatre Manager, ODP, or extensive operating theatre experience.
  • A qualification in science, business, nursing, or ODP.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A solid understanding of the product adoption process within healthcare environments.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A full, valid Irish driving licence.
