Staff Nurse - Interventional Radiology - Dublin

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Staff Nurse - Interventional Radiology to join a leading private acute hospital setting in Dublin.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse to join a specialist multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care across a wide range of minimally invasive diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in a modern hospital environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with radiologists, consultants, and clinical teams to support patients throughout their procedural journey while ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care within the Interventional Radiology department
• Assist with a variety of diagnostic and image-guided interventional procedures
• Prepare patients before procedures including assessments, monitoring, and education
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, responding appropriately to clinical changes
• Support radiologists and multidisciplinary teams during procedures
• Administer medications and treatments in line with hospital policies and NMBI guidelines
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Maintain strict infection prevention, radiation safety, and patient safety standards
• Assist with equipment preparation, stock management, and procedural room setup
• Provide reassurance and emotional support to patients and families

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in acute hospital settings preferred
• Experience in Radiology, Theatre, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, or Recovery desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong focus on patient safety and quality care

Eligibility

• Stamp 4 or EU Passport holders only at this stage
• Must have full eligibility to work in Ireland without sponsorship
