Pay Rate / Salary: €43,000 - €70,000 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team supporting children and young people in care. This Occupational Therapist role involves delivering trauma-informed Occupational Therapy services across residential settings and clinical environments. The Occupational Therapist position would suit candidates with experience supporting children and young people with complex needs.

Key Duties:
- Deliver Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions
- Support care planning and service delivery within a multidisciplinary team
- Assess occupational performance within daily living environments
- Apply therapeutic models to support trauma, attachment, and developmental needs
- Provide consultation, guidance, and training to residential care teams
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, care reviews, and service development
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and clinical governance standards
- Build relationships with internal teams and external services including Social Work, CAMHS, Primary Care, and Disability Services
Essential Criteria:
- Registration or eligibility for registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum one year's experience working with children and young people
- Experience in CAMHS, paediatrics, or mental health settings
- Understanding of residential or social care environments
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and child development
- Full driving licence and access to transport
- Training in sensory integration/attachment or knowledge of DBT, DDP, or relational models of care is desirable
