Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Intensive Care

A leading acute healthcare provider in Cork is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to join their Intensive Care team on a permanent full-time basis.

The CNM2 will play a key leadership role in the coordination and management of clinical activity and resources within the ICU department. The successful candidate will promote excellence in patient care, support best practice standards, and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily clinical and operational activity within the Intensive Care Unit
• Support and promote patient safety and quality initiatives
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff
• Foster a culture of open communication and continuous improvement
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Support staff development, mentoring, and education
• Contribute to service development and change management initiatives
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient-centred care

Candidate Requirements

• Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
• Minimum 5 years post-registration acute nursing experience
• Previous experience at CNM2 level or relevant leadership experience
• Intensive Care experience essential
• Management qualification in ICU desirable
• Strong leadership and change management skills
• Excellent organisational and decision-making abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Knowledge of nursing education and staff development practices
