Staff Nurse - Cath Lab - Dublin

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Staff Nurse - Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab) to join a leading private acute hospital setting in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled nurse to join a high-performing cardiac team delivering advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures in a modern, state-of-the-art environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting cardiac procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the peri-procedural pathway.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care within the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Assist with a wide range of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures (e.g. angiograms, angioplasty, stent insertion)
• Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-assessment and monitoring
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor patient care during cardiac procedures
• Support cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams during invasive procedures
• Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure to ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital and NMBI standards
• Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and radiation safety protocols
• Manage and maintain Cath Lab equipment and stock levels
• Provide reassurance and emotional support to patients and families

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in acute care, ICU, ED, theatre, or cardiology preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Experience or strong interest in cardiology or interventional procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety focus

Eligibility

• Stamp 4 or EU Passport holders only at this stage
• Must have full eligibility to work in Ireland without sponsorship
