About the Role:

We are recruiting for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist within a multi-disciplinary mental health service. This Senior Speech and Language Therapist role involves working with adults with complex neuropsychiatric and mental health needs. The position suits a clinician experienced in adult acquired disorders who is looking to contribute within a supportive MDT environment.

Key Duties:

• Conduct assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Design and implement individualised therapy plans
• Deliver one-to-one and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practice
• Evaluate, monitor, and document client progress and adjust interventions
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and MDT members to ensure coordinated care
• Participate in MDT meetings, training, and professional development
• Provide clinical leadership including supervision and prioritisation of work
• Contribute to service development, audits, education, and quality improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria:

• Degree (BSc or MSc) in Speech and Language Therapy
• CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland
• Dysphagia qualification accredited by IASLT or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience with adults
• At least 1 year experience with adults with acquired disorders
• Clinical competence in assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing difficulties
