Healthcare Assistant

Our client is currently looking for Healthcare Assistants to join their team in Dundalk, Co. Louth. In this role, you will provide home care support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. The role is community-based (you travel between clients).

Key Responsibilities

Typical duties include:

• Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Assisting with mobility and transfers
• Meal preparation and feeding support
• Companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry)
• Monitoring well being and reporting concerns
• Supporting clients with daily routines

Requirements

Essential:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (or at least 2 modules completed)
• Minimum 1 year experience in care (some roles require 2 years)
• Full clean driving licence + own transport
• Patient Manual Handling & Safeguarding training
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

Desirable:

• Care of the Elderly module
• Strong communication & empathy
• Reliability and flexibility
