Social Care Worker - Residential Service (Permanent)

Location: Wicklow
Hours: 39 hours per week (rota-based shifts)
Salary: From €38,918 per annum

We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Social Care Workers to support adults with autism within a residential setting in Wicklow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive service focused on promoting independence, personal development, and community inclusion for the individuals supported.

The Role:

You will provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs, helping people build life skills, maintain routines, and participate fully in their local community.

Key Duties Include:

  • Delivering support in line with individual care plans and person-centred planning

  • Assisting with daily living activities and personal care where required

  • Supporting independence, wellbeing, and decision-making

  • Encouraging social and community participation

  • Working collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

  • QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or Applied Social Care (or relevant Schedule 3 qualification) with minimum 6 months recent experience supporting individuals with complex needs; OR

  • Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Social Work or Psychology) with at least 2 years recent relevant experience

  • CORU registration as a Social Care Worker, or proof of application in progress

  • Knowledge of social care legislation and best practice

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Full, clean driver's licence

Working Pattern:

Shifts operate on a rota basis and include evenings, weekends, and waking night duty shifts.
