Staff Nurse - Day Care Unit

We are currently recruiting a Staff Nurse for a busy Day Care Unit in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive acute hospital environment delivering high-quality patient care.

Essential Requirements

• Registered on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting

• Proven clinical competence and strong professional ability

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong knowledge of medication management and IV drug administration

• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Desirable

• Qualification relevant to nursing speciality

• Experience in day care procedures, endoscopy, infusion therapy or post-operative care

• Knowledge of risk management and quality improvement

Role Responsibilities

• Pre and post-operative patient care and discharge planning

• IV medication administration (Aseptic Non Touch Technique)

• Vital signs monitoring and early warning score interpretation

• Wound management and infection prevention control

• Accurate documentation and patient education

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
