Support Assistant
(Day or Night Shifts)
Location: Lisburn
Salary: £12.14 per hour, with enhanced pay for additional hours at £13.35 per hour
Contract Hours: Flexible contracts of 12, 18, 24, and 36 hours per week available; includes evening and weekend shifts
Support Assistants are expected to work flexibly.
Offering a welcome bonus of up to £250 (T&Cs apply).
The Service
Located in North Lisburn, this registered Domiciliary Care Agency and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Service comprises two dwellings, each housing up to four individuals. This service offers a person-centred approach to supporting individuals with learning disabilities and associated needs. Operating under the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework, care is provided around the clock.
The Role
The Support Assistant role requires a collaborative, team-based approach to effectively support service users.
- Assist service users with activities of daily living, promoting their involvement in a wide range of activities.
- Provide personal care and address individual support needs as identified.
Support Assistants must be prepared to work flexible hours, including unsociable hours and public holidays on a rotational basis.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in providing care or support
- Strong communication skills, including numeracy
- Knowledge of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities
- Demonstrable understanding of behaviours that may present challenges
