Staff Nurse

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 38.5 per week

Our client, a private Residential Nursing Home based in east Galway is looking to hire several suitable Staff Nurses to join both their Nursing Home and dedicated Rehabilitation / Acquired Brain Injury unit.

Key Duties:

• Provide skilled nursing care and support for residents.
• Plan and deliver education for residents and families, including discharge instructions.
• Perform firsthand care using the nursing process to achieve good health outcomes.
• Supervise and guide other nursing staff, using sound judgement, problem-solving, and time management.
• Act as a role model and resource for staff and students, and take part in nursing committees and professional activities.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have a minimum 1 years' experience working as general nurse in clinical, acute or community settings.
• Experience working with geriatric and older persons would be desirable
• Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN.
