Part-Time Care Assistant

Job Description:

A growing homecare provider is currently recruiting part-time Care Assistants to support clients in Stillorgan, Dublin. This role is ideal for caring, reliable individuals who want to make a real impact in their community while working flexible hours close to home.

This is a part-time role (3.5 hours per day):

• Morning shift: 1.5 hours

• Afternoon shift: 1 hour

• Evening shift: 1 hour

Important: Applicants must live in the Stillorgan area if they do not drive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance

• Assist with dressing, toileting, and mobility

• Help with meals and light household duties

• Support clients in getting in and out of bed

• Assist individuals with challenging behaviour

• Carry out other care-related tasks as required

Requirements:

• Completed QQI Level 5 modules in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person

• Experience with challenging behaviour (essential)

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, with 2 references

• Valid People Moving and Handling Certificate

• Weekend availability (required)

• Fluent English, both spoken and written

• Driving licence and car (advantageous but not essential if living locally)

Salary:
From €13.50 per hour

Expected Hours:
Up to 24.5 hours per week

Schedule:

• Day shifts

• Split schedule: morning, afternoon, and evening

• Monday to Sunday

• Weekend availability essential

• Flexitime available

Education:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (in progress or completed)

• Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

• Must be legally permitted to work in Ireland
