The role:

Our client is seeking a Health Care Assistants to look after children and adults with complex needs in the community. This position is ideal for someone who is an experienced Health Care Assistant, is passionate about providing excellent and reliable care, and enjoys working with people.

Job Types: Permanent

• 8 - 12-hour day shifts available
• up to 40 hours per week available

Person Specifications 

• Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland without visa sponsorship
• QQI Level 5 Certification in Healthcare or related field
• Mandatory Certifications up to date
• Fluent in English
• Previous experience working as a health care professional preferred

• Driver and have access to a car.
• Meets all competency, experience, and educational requirements in accordance with the company.
• Have up to date mandatory trainings including but not limited to CPR, Manual Handling, Infection control.

Key Responsibilities 

Will be accountable for the following set of responsibilities and expected to assume additional responsibilities as the role progresses in professional development.

• Adheres to the established client care plan.
• Assists with assigned personal care tasks.
• Assists with ambulation and exercises. 
• Performs other activities as directed by the Clinical Nurse Manager e.g. measuring and preparing meals, assisting with the use of certain equipment. 
• Understands and follows safety and infection control policies and practices.
• Demonstrates sound judgement. 
• Take initiative to assist the client, to go above and beyond in the care provided.
• Report any clinical incidents using the company's incident reporting application.
