Theatre Nurse

Staffline is working in partnership with a Private Hospital Group and looking for experienced Theatre & Endoscopy Nurses to join their private acute hospital based in Co. Sligo.

Theatre Nurse roles/spec:

• Theatre Nurse - Must have Scrub, PACU/Anaesthetic & Circulatory experience within the peri-operative area
• Endoscopy Nurse

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Annual Salary Range: DOE

Reporting to: Theatre/Endoscopy Manager

Theatre Nurse:

• NMBI registration is required for the role.
• Experience anywhere between 6 to 12 months in Theatre/Endoscopy is essential for the role.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
• Ability to effectively prioritise workload and patient care needs.
• Demonstrates an understanding of clinical risk, the importance of research and evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrates a caring and sensitive approach to patient care.
• Must be adaptable and responsive to changing needs and can use own initiative.
• Co-ordinating the admission of patients.
• To participate in the care and maintenance of specialised equipment, always ensuring an agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment.
• Ensuring the safe discharge of all patients from the Theatre/endoscopy unit.
• Assist in the effective and efficient running of Theatre/Endoscopy lists, collating accurate information about patients and notifying the Theatre/Endoscopy Manager and relevant medical teams of list changes and patient progress.
• Maintaining and monitoring levels of stock and ensuring there are adequate supplies and that resources are used effectively.
• To take appropriate action to manage unexpected situations and changes, informing the Theatre/Endoscopy Manager, as necessary.
