An opportunity has arisen for a Fabricator, to join an industry leader in UK's Building Services sector on their Backshift in Scarva, delivering a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
Job Summary
We are seeking self-motivated and experienced Fabricators to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements to support a team of skilled welders. As a fabricator the successful candidates will be required to be on site each day within the fabrication/welding facility, fabricating pipe arrangements from shop drawings.

The ability to produce some or all types of welds, i.e., TIG, MMA and MAG for assembly purposes would be required with the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to numerous welding disciplines and in house welding procedures.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 16:45pm - 03:45am
Salary:Competitive depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • To operate MIG/TIG or MMA welding equipment
  • To read/interpret drawings.
  • Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
  • Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
  • Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management.
Essential Criteria:
  • Minimum of 3 years' operating as an established experienced fabricator, that includes Pipe Fabrication.
  • The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
  • Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc.
  • Previous Experience working a Backshift.
  • Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings
Desired Criteria
  • Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
  • Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
