Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
- Weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
- Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
- To operate MIG/TIG or MMA welding equipment.
- Use precision measurement instruments.
- Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment.
- Minimum of 3 years' operating as an established experienced welder, that includes Pipe.
- The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
- Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc.
- Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Previous experience as a pipe welder, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
- Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
