Quality & Risk Officer | Public Sector |Contract

The Client: Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Quality & Risk Officer to join their organisation on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months. This key role will report directly to the Head of Corporate Services and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing corporate quality, risk management and oversee the internal audit function to ensure timely delivery of the organisation's objectives.

The Role:

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of various management systems, internal audit and risk management processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies and legislation
  • Managing and reviewing the quality document management systems to ensure timely production of management reporting
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure quality, safety and risk management standards are maintained across the organisation
  • Planning and implementing internal and external audits
  • Development, oversight and implementation of risk management processes, including assessment of the risk register
  • Development and implementation of the internal audit process, controlling the annual audit programme across the organisation
  • Co-ordinate and chair management review meetings and follow up actions
  • Act as liaison contact with the Ombudsman and the Public Service Quality network
  • Develop and provide training sessions as and when required

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree level in relevant field (or equivalent qualification) desirable although not essential
  • A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in the development and management of quality and risk management systems
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a on/off site team environment, self-manage and prioritise daily workload
  • Project management experience desirable although not essential
  • Strong technical and IT skill with a high level of proficiency with MS Office programs, including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to lead and influence at all levels

In Return:

  • Salary circa €70k
  • 12 month contract
  • Hybrid working arrangement
