My client is seeking to hire an Operations Manager in the Leinster region.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overview
An experienced Operations Manager is required to oversee the delivery of multiple water and wastewater infrastructure projects across regional operations. This role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards across safety, quality, cost control, and programme performance.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, working closely with project teams, site managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes across a portfolio of works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple live infrastructure projects

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards

  • Manage project planning, scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation

  • Coordinate site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Monitor project performance against KPIs, budgets, and timelines

  • Implement effective cost control and ensure operational profitability

  • Review project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management

  • Lead pre-construction planning and operational readiness meetings

  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships, including regulatory bodies

  • Resolve operational issues, risks, and conflicts across project sites

  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of site teams

  • Ensure accurate project documentation, records, and as-built information

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations or senior project management within civil engineering or utilities

  • Strong background in water and wastewater infrastructure delivery

  • Solid understanding of Irish or UK water standards and regulations

  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities

  • Strong commercial awareness and cost management experience

  • Proficiency in planning tools (e.g. MS Project) and general IT systems

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  • Full, clean driving licence (essential)
