An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a growing engineering and infrastructure team delivering major water, wastewater, and utilities projects across Ireland.
This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical engineering projects from design and pre-construction through to installation, commissioning, and final handover. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery while driving performance across safety, quality, programme, and commercial targets.
The Role
As Electrical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical engineering and MEICA projects while managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholder relationships.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across electrical, civil, mechanical, and process engineering disciplines to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from start to completion
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Oversee programme delivery, procurement, budgets, and commercial activities
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Ensure Health & Safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders
- Monitor project risks, opportunities, and performance targets
- Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks, and project reviews
- Mentor engineers and site teams while promoting continuous improvement
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in a similar Project Management role
- Strong experience delivering electrical engineering or MEICA projects
- Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, or industrial sectors desirable
- Knowledge of LV systems, control panels, PLC/SCADA systems, and commissioning activities advantageous
- Strong commercial and programme management awareness
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project and MS Office packages
- Full driving licence required
