Staffline are recruiting on behalf of NHSCT for a Band 4 Allocations Officer required on a temporary basis based in Cookstown.
Role: Band 4 Allocations Officer
Rate of Pay: £14.06
Location: Cookstown
Hours: 37.5 hour per week - Monday-Friday
Duration: End of June Initially
Main duties/Responsibilities:
The post-holder will be responsible for providing a support service to domiciliary care staff and assisting with the day to day management of the office to ensure a smooth running, high quality service.
- Maintenance of client caseload and list of workers.
- Processing of incoming/outgoing mail.
- Maintenance of client files plus related typing and filing.
- Responsibility for calculation and checking of mileage for home care workers.
- Responsible for processing of all cover for clients and workers i.e. annual leave, unpaid leave, sick leave, maternity leave etc.
- Responsibility for and maintenance of accurate changes in relation to client cover, i.e. manual and computer inputting. This will involve recording any amendments and typing confirmation to both the worker and the clients regarding the changes.
- Collate and process all sickness certificates in relation to homecare workers and ensure gaps in cover are actioned appropriately.
- Ensure relief cover is in place for clients in the absence of their permanent worker and for informing client change.
- Co-ordinate all payment and payroll runs for home care workers.
- Calculate leave entitlement for home care workers.
- Completion of all personnel documentation in relation to home care workers.
- Provide caseload prints of SOSCARE as and when required.
- Communicate with clients both on the telephone and face to face in relation to their carer.
- Photocopy duties as required and maintenance of departmental documents.
- Typing of reports and memos as and when required.
- Maintain confidentiality within and without the workplace at all times.
- Through his/her own actions ensure adherence to the Principles of Equality and Human Rights legislation.
- Use Trust and Departmental technology in line with the trust's Information Management and Technology Strategy.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by Manager to ensure the needs of the department are met
Essential Criteria:
- 3 GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent including Mathematics or Accounts plus 1 year's administrative experience in an office environment.
OR
- 3 Years administrative experience in an office environment to include financial experience
PLUS
- A keyboarding qualification or 6 months experience in the use of ICT.
