Location: Belfast
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £15.82 per hour
About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and detail-focused Technician to join our Digital Services team. Supporting the Senior Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality operational and technical services across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role involving IT operations, stock control, and equipment management, with opportunities to develop your technical skills across a range of systems and technologies. Please note: this role involves shift work, including non-standard hours.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
You'll work across one or both of the following areas:
Operations
- Run and monitor IT systems across multiple platforms
- Carry out back-up and recovery tasks
- Identify and resolve system errors and faults
- Support hardware and software operations
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation
- Assist with out-of-hours support when required
- Help diagnose equipment faults and liaise with suppliers
- Support colleagues through on-the-job training
Stores
- Manage and maintain stock control systems
- Receive, check, and organise deliveries
- Control and distribute stock securely
- Carry out stock checks and maintain records
- Ensure storage areas are safe, clean, and organised
- Dispose of equipment in line with WEEE regulations
Additional Responsibilities
- Support hardware builds, PC setup, and installations
- Process system and data updates
- Assist in developing and improving procedures
- Deliver equipment and perform routine maintenance
- Work closely with customers and internal teams
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and customer care
- Support training, onboarding, and team development
- Contribute to service improvements and efficient delivery
Essential Criteria
Essential Requirements
- At least 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English (or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months' experience:
- Working to deadlines under instruction
- Using IT systems and technology

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Good problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
