Personal Lines Advisor

An established and growing insurance brokerage is seeking a Personal Lines Advisor to join their high-performing team. This is an opportunity to work in a client-focused environment where relationship-building, expertise, and service quality are genuinely valued.

The Opportunity

You will manage and develop a portfolio of personal lines clients, providing expert guidance across products including motor, home, and travel insurance. This is a varied role combining advisory, servicing, and commercial responsibility.

You will play a key role in ensuring clients receive the right level of cover while also contributing to business growth through retention and new business activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound client interactions across personal lines products
  • Provide tailored advice and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
  • Handle new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments efficiently
  • Maintain accurate and compliant policy documentation
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and enhance client coverage
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurer partners
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes
  • Contribute to team targets across retention, growth, and service delivery
  • Resolve client queries professionally and efficiently

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience within personal lines insurance
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • High attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Solid IT skills and adaptability to new systems
  • Understanding of regulatory/compliance standards

Desirable:

  • Experience within an insurance broker environment
  • Exposure to Open GI systems
  • Cert CII qualification (or working towards)
  • Strong sales and negotiation capability
