Staffline are recruiting on behalf of NHSCT for a Band 6 ICT Security and Governance Senior Support Officer required on a temporary basis based in Antrim

Role: Band 6 ICT Security and Governance Senior Support Officer

Rate of Pay: £19.78ph

Location: Antrim

Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Duration: Temporary

Main duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support ICT Security and Governance in related projects/initiatives, producing various pieces of work as required e.g. guidance, processes, training.
  • Support the day-to-day management of requests for information in relation to ICT Security and Governance.
  • Oversee a system for co-ordinating and monitoring the ICT Security and Governance metrics in response to requests for information, KPI's in relation to Cyber Security, Audit actions ensuring that time-scales are met.
  • Assist the Security and Governance Team Leader to ensure there is a consistent approach to ICT and Information Security in the Trust by coordinating and liaising with staff responsible for other aspects of the Information Governance agenda e.g. Information Governance and Data Quality.
  • Assist the Security and Governance Team Leader to provide advice and practical assistance on ICT security risks and appropriate risk mitigation and implementation of control measures
  • Assist the ICT Security and Governance Team Leader to develop new policies and procedures and update existing as the need arises.
  • Respond to routine enquiries from staff regarding access to information, trust policies and procedures.
  • Supervise the production of a range of reports, both narrative and statistical, to support the monitoring of ICT Security and Governance Policy implementation.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training to staff on ICT Security and Governance issues such as, Cyber Security Awareness.
  • Undertake initial fact finding/ assessments of ICT Security and Governance related incidents and complaints on behalf of the ICT Security and Governance Team Leader/ ICT Security, Governance and Business Manager.
  • Co-ordinate and monitor processes in relation to ICT Security and Governance initiatives e.g. information risk management.
  • Support ICT to respond to requests for information, by co-ordination with ICT Staff and Information Governance to comply with legislation.
  • Keep abreast of relevant cyber incidents, new legislation or guidance and identify where Trust policies and procedures relating to ICT Security and Governance need to be updated or introduced.
  • Monitor compliance with ICT Security and Governance policies and procedures and make recommendations as to how non-compliance should be addressed.
  • Participate in formal Trust-wide projects as required.
  • Ensure that all communication regarding ICT Security and Governance issues are consistent and appropriate.
  • Provide support / service meetings as and when required.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and staff in all Directorates and with other organisations. Participate in Regional groups as appropriate.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the line manager.
  • Use Trust wide and departmental computer technology in line with the Trust's Information Management and Technology Strategy.
  • Promote adherence to all aspects of the Trust Policies on ICT Security and Governance.
  • Undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grade as may be assigned from time to time.

Essential Criteria:

  • An ICT related degree and 2 years' experience in ICT security/ governance or related functions

OR

  • HNC/HND or equivalent/higher qualification in an ICT related discipline and have worked for 3 years at a Band 5 level or above in ICT Security or Governance role.

OR

  • Have worked for 5 years at a Band 5 level or above in an ICT Security or Governance role or equivalent.
