Branch Manager Job in Cork

Staffline Recruitment Ireland is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Cork branch. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing recruitment leader with a strong background in business development, sales management, temporary recruitment, team leadership and branch performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving branch growth, managing operational performance, leading a high-performing team, developing client relationships, increasing revenue and ensuring full compliance across the branch. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in recruitment management, achieving gross profit and net profit targets, and building successful recruitment teams across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Sales

  • Drive branch sales performance and deliver against revenue, client and growth targets
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across Cork and the wider region
  • Prepare business proposals and tenders, negotiating rates and fees in line with agreed frameworks
  • Monitor weekly sales activity, branch performance and key management reports
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients to maximise account growth and retention
  • Lead networking activity and use market intelligence to generate new sales leads
  • Cross-sell recruitment solutions across the wider Staffline network
  • Support the delivery of overall company strategy through local branch growth plans

Financial and Commercial Management

  • Support profit and loss management, including gross profit, cost control and net profit performance
  • Assist with annual budget planning and ensure delivery against financial targets
  • Produce accurate monthly forecasting, board reports and branch performance updates
  • Deliver temp margin targets through regular analysis of client spend and profitability
  • Maintain strong control over branch costs and marketing spend
  • Work closely with internal finance teams to ensure all financial and operational targets are met, including payroll, debtor days and associated branch KPIs

Team Leadership and Performance Management

  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of Recruitment Consultants, Key Account Specialists and Administrators
  • Facilitate weekly sales meetings focused on pipeline, interviews, business development and GP delivery
  • Set clear targets, expectations and KPIs for all team members
  • Monitor team performance, conduct appraisals and support ongoing development planning
  • Work closely with HR and Training to develop high-performing teams and address underperformance where required
  • Ensure effective resource planning, succession planning and team cover
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement

Compliance and Operational Management

  • Ensure branch operations are fully compliant with company processes, policies and recruitment best practice
  • Monitor job advertising and online job content to maintain quality and compliance standards
  • Ensure branch quality audits are completed monthly and kept up to date
  • Act as a key point of contact for client and candidate queries
  • Promote high standards, professionalism and Staffline's ethics and values in all areas of branch activity

About You

To be successful in this Branch Manager job in Cork, you should have:

  • A proven track record of successfully managing a recruitment branch or recruitment business
  • Experience exceeding GP and NP targets
  • Strong business development and client relationship management experience
  • Excellent commercial awareness and financial management capability
  • Experience growing and managing temporary recruitment divisions across multiple sectors
  • Strong leadership, people management and team development skills
  • The ability to operate confidently with senior clients, internal stakeholders and business partners
  • A strong understanding of the recruitment market, including economic, competitor and sector trends
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to build practical growth plans
  • A full, clean driving licence
  • A third-level qualification would be advantageous.
