Staff Nurse - Urology Day Unit

Full time/perm post, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Sunday) and reporting to Clinical Nurse Manager.

Our client, a private hospital based in Dublin is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join their Urology Day Care Unit.

The role will ideally suit qualified nurses who have experience working in Urology and will comprise a mixture of clinical, administrative, and service responsibilities.

Key Duties:

• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of nursing care to urology patients.
• Participates in patient consultations, follow-up phone calls, appointment arrangement and any other issues directly and indirectly related to the efficient delivery and management of the Service.
• Assists with all procedures performed in the Urology Department.
• Provides clinical care and education for the patient requiring catheter change of urethral or supra pubic catheter.
• Provides clinical care and education for the day cases and in-patient who require self-catheterisation and trial without catheter.
• Provides clinical care and education for the patient undergoing Urodynamics.
• Maintains good relationships with the multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Criteria:

• Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN.
• Must have a minimum 2 years' clinical experience, ideally in Urology nursing.
• You must be eligible to work in Ireland full time (Minimum Stamp 4). Sponsorship is not provided for this role.
