Job Title: Community Carer / Healthcare Assistants (CHO6 or CHO7)

Locations:

  • CHO6: South West Dublin (from Bray to Rathfarnham)

  • CHO7: Kildare and North Wicklow

Hours: From 10 to 30 hours per week
Salary Scale (based on qualifications):

  • €13.50/hr - with 2 QQI modules

  • €14.50/hr - with 4 QQI modules

  • €15.00/hr - with full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support


Role Overview:

We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants/Carers to join our dedicated team providing essential care across South West Dublin, Kildare, and North Wicklow. You will be assigned to either the CHO6 or CHO7 area-you do not need to cover both regions.

The role involves working closely with individuals in their homes, assisting with daily living and promoting independence in a dignified manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming

  • Meal Preparation and Assistance: Preparing meals, assisting with feeding if needed

  • Mobility Support: Helping with transfers and use of mobility aids

  • Companionship: Providing emotional support and building relationships

  • Household Tasks: Light domestic duties like laundry, cleaning, and bed-making

  • Health Monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in the client's health

  • Appointments & Errands: Escorting clients to appointments if required


Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 QQI Healthcare modules (Care Skills and Care of the Older Person)

  • Ideally QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or in progress)

  • Manual Handling and Patient Moving & Handling certification

  • Garda Vetting (or willingness to undergo)

  • Own transport and a full driving licence (especially for CHO7/Kildare)

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
