Job Title: Radiographer
Location: Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin
Contract Type: Specified Purpose Contract
Hours: Part-Time (21 hours per week)
Reports to: Radiology Services Managers

Overview:
Bon Secours Hospital Dublin is currently seeking a CORU-registered Radiographer to join its busy, multidisciplinary Diagnostic Imaging Department on a specified purpose part-time contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment that supports ongoing professional development and high-quality patient care.

Department Overview:
The Diagnostic Imaging Department incorporates a wide range of services including General Radiography, DEXA, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, and a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and experienced team delivering imaging services to patients across multiple specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of radiographic examinations including General X-ray, DEXA, Theatre, and Interventional/Fluoroscopy

  • Support and participate in CT, MRI, Cath Lab, and Ultrasound procedures depending on experience

  • Maintain high standards of clinical imaging and patient care

  • Ensure adherence to local and national radiation protection protocols

  • Participate in on-call rota and shift patterns as required

  • Complete accurate documentation in line with hospital policies

  • Support student training and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

  • Follow hospital protocols relating to infection control, health and safety, and data protection

  • Maintain knowledge of and contribute to JCI and HIQA standards

  • Assist with troubleshooting and reporting equipment faults

Essential Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers (or equivalent)

  • CORU registration (must be current and maintained)

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills

  • Commitment to high-quality patient care

  • Flexible and adaptable to meet departmental needs

  • Proficient in healthcare IT systems including PACS/RIS

Desirable Experience:

  • Postgraduate qualification in CT or other modality

  • Experience in Diagnostic CT

  • Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience preferred

  • Familiarity with JCI and HIQA standards and audits
