Fitter

Staffline are currently recruiting for a fitter based in the Magherafelt area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable transport organisation. The successful candidate will join a well established team.

The main purpose of the role will be to maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of a vehicle, carry out inspections and paperwork as required.

Key Reponsibilities:

• Inspect, service, maintain and prepare fleets to PCV standards.
• Test, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems as appropriate.
• Remove and replace vehicle components.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns.
• Complete administrative duties associated with the post.
• Other appropriate duties.

Criteria:

• Minimum of 2 years' post apprenticeship experience in a similar role within an automotive environment.
• Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline.
• Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles.
• Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches.
• Understanding of vehicle electrical systems and body structure.
• Experience of using IT packages.
