Would you like to work with patients and in different ward settings? We have excellent opportunities with the NHSCT, based in Co Antrim and Co Londonderry as a Band 2 Care Assistant.

As a Care Assistant, you will help provide support for the Northern Trust in various wards whilst delivering first-class care. You will have the opportunity to participate in training which will enable you to acquire these skills. You will be provided with the best tools and resources to exceed with the patients and enable you to provide them with a truly remarkable care experience.

  • Rates of pay will be £11.45 Monday-Friday 6am-8pm, £16.14 Monday-Friday 8pm-6am & Saturday and £20.95 Sunday & Bank/Public Holidays

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Always provide a caring service and to treat those who you come into contact with in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • You will assist in the reception, admission, and discharge of patients.
  • You will also carry out assigned duties assigned by a qualified nurse to ensure that all care is a high standard.
  • Cooperate with nursing and all medical staff to ensure that excellent relationships are maintained with in the Trust.
  • You will promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency. The post holder will ensure that they take all concerns raised with them seriously and act in accordance with Northern Trust's Whistleblowing Policy and their professional code of conduct, where applicable.
  • Do you want to demonstrate your commitment by your regular attendance and the efficient completion of all tasks allocated to you.
  • Comply with the Trust's Smoke Free Policy.
  • Carry out your duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Health and Safety Policies and Statutory Regulations.
  • Adhere to Equality and Good Relations duties throughout the course of your employment.
  • Ensure the ongoing confidence of the public in-service provision.
  • Maintain high standards of personal accountability.
  • Comply with the HPSS Code of Conduct.

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months care experience in a formal setting
  • Be registered or eligible for registration with NISCC.
