Patient Care Specialists | Cork & Limerick | Remote

The Client: Headquartered in Dublin, our client is a leading supplier to the healthcare industry and an integral part of a global organisation. They have been experiencing a period of growth and have been developing new roles within the organisation as part of their expansion plans. Due to this growth, they are seeking to recruit Patient Care Specialists to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months initially.

The Role: As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be required to support key functions within the business specifically across Operations and Sales. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers, ensuring optimisation across the range of support services. You will also support business in this expanding market by promoting the company's range of products and services to key stakeholders in hospitals and community integrated teams.

The successful candidate will have daily interaction with patients and their families/carers, as well as a variety of healthcare professionals

These roles will support client base in the Cork and Limerick regions.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Contract: 12 month fixed-term contract (permanent opportunities may be available)

Key duties:

  • Manage patient contact in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
  • Set up and installation of homecare devices at patient's homes and at hospital locations
  • Manage patient home installations, clinic installations/support, training and compliance activities with patients and clinicians
  • Manage patient follow up to include telephone calls, post install home visits and compliance follow up
  • To support clinical training & educational workshops in key centres within the region
  • Attendance at Regional Conferences/Meetings when required
  • Supporting the business unit across the region and occasionally in other regions.
  • Conduct check-in calls with patients to ensure service level agreements are adhered to
  • Manage compliance activities on patient accounts
  • Liaise with various healthcare providers to ensure patient care is being managed in accordance with GDPR
  • Management reporting and attendance at daily/weekly team meetings

Requirements:

  • Qualified Nurse/Physiotherapist with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in hospital and/or homecare environment (equivalent qualifications considered)
  • A person with exceptional organisational, communication and record keeping skills, with proven ability to present, train, mentor and influence to a variety of customers
  • Commercial experience desirable, with the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers
  • Proven attention to detail and follow through
  • Computer literate/practical working IT skills
  • Full driving licence (manual)

In Return:

  • €38-42k salary based on a 40 hour working week (negotiable depending on experience)

  • Pension after 6 months
