Deputy Regional Manager

This role will be based from Head Office Belfast but will also involve travel throughout Northern Ireland.

Full time 40hours p/w (5 Days)

Salary based on experience

An exciting opportunity is available for a Deputy Regional Manager to support the management of nursing care homes in Northern Ireland. This multi-site role involves overseeing facility performance, quality monitoring, and implementing improvement initiatives. The Deputy Regional Manager will work closely with managers to maintain occupancy levels and ensure high-quality care. Responsibilities include assisting managers in achieving financial targets, developing staff, and supporting the Regional Manager in various aspects of their role, including regulatory visits and temporary management of homes when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of care and service across our client's care homes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
  • Maximise business growth and profitability in the region.
  • Manage risk and oversee quality monitoring in each facility.
  • Act as a liaison with clients and resolve escalated issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support company development.
  • Work with HR to ensure appropriate staffing and handle related activities.
  • Maintain clinical quality and adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Manage incidents, emergencies, and complaints according to procedure.
  • Support occupancy targets and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and share knowledge.
  • Represent the company at events and undertake specific projects as assigned.
  • Generate reports to monitor trends and plan ahead.
  • Require previous managerial experience and ability to exceed targets.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence due to the regional nature of the role.
  • Role flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving company needs.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Nursing Homes Management or Regional Role
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to work flexible hours, predominantly Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to the company's core values and ways of working
  • Satisfactory Enhanced Access NI Disclosure (upon commencement of employment)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Understanding of quality management systems
  • Previous experience of project management
  • Previous experience of managing teams who require improvement
  • Understanding of the local area and population demographic
  • Previous experience of community engagement
  • Experience in managing budgets

Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate achievement of targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, in person and over the phone
  • Independence and initiative in problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Databases
  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptability and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a strong commitment to tasks
