About the Role

We are seeking an experienced construction, building or property professional to oversee the quality, compliance and delivery of capital works, refurbishment and maintenance projects across a busy healthcare environment.

Acting as the Client's on-site representative, you will inspect works, monitor contractors, identify defects and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, Building Regulations and required quality standards.

The position would suit someone from a Building Surveying, Property & Estates, Facilities & Projects, Resident Engineering, Site Inspection, BCAR/Compliance, Structural Engineering or Architectural background.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect capital, refurbishment and maintenance projects from commencement through to completion.
• Monitor works against drawings, specifications and statutory requirements, including BCAR and relevant healthcare guidelines.
• Identify defects, quality issues and non-compliant works and monitor corrective actions.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Review workmanship, materials and construction standards.
• Maintain inspection records, photographic reports and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Monitor health & safety and permit-to-work activities.
• Support snagging, commissioning, testing and project handover.

Essential Requirements

• Recognised Level 7 technical qualification in Engineering, Building or a related discipline, relevant trade qualification with substantial experience, or equivalent professional/technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience within construction, building maintenance, property or estates.
• At least 3 years' supervisory, inspection, project oversight or contractor management experience.
• Valid Safe Pass Certificate.
• Full clean driving licence and access to transport.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations, construction standards and compliance.
• Experience with technical reporting and project documentation.
