HR Manager

Location: Leitrim

Pay Rate / Salary: €40,000 to €45,000 per annum

Contract Type: 12 months Maternity Cover

About the Role:

We are seeking an HR Manager to join a site management team covering recruitment, training, employee relations, and engagement. The role will suit an experienced HR professional with strong operational and management-level experience.

Key duties:

• Manage site headcount, attendance management, recruitment, and employee onboarding processes
• Manage employee records, payroll/TMS registration and related registration processes
• Manage induction, training activities, training budgets, and development initiatives
• Coach and advise managers on employee relations, people practices, disciplinary and grievance processes
• Manage probationary and developmental reviews and support employee engagement and communication
• Provide regular people-related reporting and monitor working hours, overtime, and other HR metrics
• Maintain knowledge of employment legislation and ensure policies and statutory requirements are implemented fairly
• Build effective relationships with trade union representatives and support site management on employee-related issues

Essential criteria:

• HR qualification
• 5+ years' HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years' management-level experience
• Experience in a labour-intensive, single-site environment
• Manufacturing, retail, or similar experience within a unionised environment
• Hands-on experience collaborating closely with managers and supervisors to coach and mentor teams
• Experience in a busy operational environment where people are core to business operations
