HR Manager - Part-Time

Staffline Recruitment Ireland are currently recruiting on behalf of our local client for an experienced HR Manager to join their team in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of the HR function within an established and growing food production business employing approximately 100 people.

The Role

This is a permanent, part-time position, working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (4 hours per day), with flexibility around daily working hours.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the HR function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall HR function and provide practical HR support to management and employees.
• Provide payroll support and backup when required.
• Manage and oversee the Softworks HRIS.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and HR documentation.
• Advise on employee relations, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Support workplace investigations.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with Irish employment legislation.
• Coordinate employee training and maintain training records.
• Support employee engagement, retention and wellbeing initiatives.
• Develop and improve HR processes and procedures.
• Provide HR reporting and insights to support management decision-making.
• Work closely with Production, Operations, Quality and Health & Safety teams.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a HR Manager, HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or senior HR Generalist position.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience with employee relations, recruitment and onboarding.
• Experience with payroll and HR administration.
• Strong HRIS and IT skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the HR function.
• Practical, approachable and people-focused.
• Confident dealing with employees and management at all levels.
• Solutions-focused and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.

Desirable:

• CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification.
• Experience in food production, manufacturing, FMCG or retail.
• Experience with Softworks or a similar HR/payroll system.
• Experience developing HR policies and processes.
• Experience supporting a workforce of approximately 100 employees.
