HR Manager

We are seeking an HR Manager to join a site management team covering recruitment, training, employee relations and engagement. The role will suit an experienced HR professional with strong operational and management-level experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site headcount, attendance management, recruitment and employee onboarding processes
• Manage employee records, payroll/TMS registration and related registration processes
• Manage induction, training activities, training budgets and development initiatives
• Coach and advise managers on employee relations, people practices, disciplinary and grievance processes
• Manage probationary and developmental reviews and support employee engagement and communication
• Provide regular people-related reporting and monitor working hours, overtime and other HR metrics
• Maintain knowledge of employment legislation and ensure policies and statutory requirements are implemented fairly
• Build effective relationships with trade union representatives and support site management on employee-related issues

Essential Criteria

• HR qualification
• 5+ years' HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years' management-level experience
• Experience in a labour-intensive, single-site environment
• Experience working with entry-level and skilled colleagues
• Manufacturing, retail or similar experience within a unionised environment
• Hands-on experience working closely with managers and supervisors to coach and mentor teams
• Experience in a busy operational environment where people are core to business operations
• Willingness to work onsite
