Are you an experienced Plant Operative with a good understanding of batching processes and machinery operations?

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Operative to join a busy production environment in Stourbridge, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of batching, mixing and processing equipment used in the production of specialist chemical products.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality products and is confident working independently while contributing to a wider production team.

The Role

As a Plant Operative, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of production equipment, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating batching, mixing and processing equipment to produce admixtures.
• Carrying out routine quality testing and accurately maintaining production records.
• Receiving, checking and safely storing raw materials.
• Monitoring stock levels of finished products and raw materials.
• Creating production schedules in line with product forecasts.
• Following production specifications and test procedures to maintain consistent product quality.
• Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
• Identifying potential hazards and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Working efficiently to meet production requirements and deadlines.
• Taking ownership of your work and using initiative to resolve day-to-day production issues.

The successful candidate will have:

• A good understanding of batching processes and machinery operations.
• Experience working within a production, manufacturing or plant environment.
• The ability to follow detailed specifications and testing procedures.
• A strong eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high product consistency.
• A strong commitment to safe working practices and hazard awareness.
• An understanding of environmental impacts and compliance requirements.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
• A self-motivated, reliable and results-driven approach.
• The ability to make decisions and work independently.
