Dublin | 2-Year Contract | €80,000-€90,000 DOE

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy & Decarbonisation Programme Manager to lead strategic energy, sustainability, infrastructure and capital investment initiatives within a major acute hospital environment.

Reporting to the Head of Capital Planning & Delivery, you will develop and deliver a programme that improves energy performance, reduce carbon emissions and support long-term climate and infrastructure objectives.

This is a strategic programme leadership role combining energy management, capital investment, infrastructure delivery, commercial management and decarbonisation. The position would suit experienced professionals from backgrounds including Building Services Engineering, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Energy Management, Capital Projects or Infrastructure Delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of energy, sustainability and decarbonisation strategies.
• Develop practical roadmaps for energy efficiency, carbon reduction and infrastructure improvement.
• Identify, prioritise and deliver capital and energy-efficiency projects.
• Prepare business cases, investment proposals, programme plans and funding applications.
• Identify and support opportunities for grant and capital funding.
• Manage programme budgets, CAPEX/OPEX planning, risks and performance reporting.
• Monitor delivery against energy, sustainability, financial and carbon reduction targets.
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

Essential:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Energy Management, Sustainability or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant professional experience, with demonstrable experience delivering capital, infrastructure, energy or decarbonisation projects/programmes.
• Strong commercial, financial and project/programme management capability.
• Experience preparing business cases, investment proposals or funding applications.
• Proven experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills.

Desirable:

• Experience within healthcare, public sector, utilities or other complex operational environments.
• Experience delivering retrofit, NZEB, energy-efficiency or decarbonisation projects.
• Experience with renewable energy, building services, energy monitoring or building performance improvements.
• Experience with public-sector funding, grants or sustainability investment programmes.
• Chartered status or relevant professional accreditation.
