Senior Quantity Surveying Adviser

Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 | Contract Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading public healthcare organisation as a Quantity Surveying Adviser (Chief Assistant Technical Services Officer). This position would suit a professional services or consultancy-based QS with experience supporting client-side project teams and exposure to public sector project delivery.

Supporting approximately 20 project managers across a varied portfolio of healthcare building projects, the successful candidate will bring broad commercial and project experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of cost control and procurement.

This is an excellent opportunity to influence the successful delivery of vital healthcare infrastructure projects while ensuring value for money and best practice in commercial management.

Reporting to: Principal Quantity Surveyor Advisor.

Key Responsibilities
You will support the delivery of capital projects and estates services, including:

  • Providing expert advice on cost management, procurement, and commercial strategy
  • Managing project budgets, cost reporting, and financial forecasting (Estimator/Cashflow Forecasting)
  • Coordinating tender processes and contractor procurement
  • Overseeing design team performance and contract compliance
  • Monitoring project timelines, risks, and expenditure
  • Supporting sustainability and energy-efficient project initiatives
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, design teams, and contractors
  • Ensuring value for money across all stages of project delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years' relevant Quantity Surveying experience in a consultancy or contractor environment.
  • Level 8 degree (or higher) in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), plus registration as a Quantity Surveyor (or eligibility for registration); or
  • Chartered membership of SCSI or RICS.
