Pay Rate / Salary: €60,000-€70,000

About the Role:

We are seeking an HGV Mechanic to service and maintain a range of vehicles, including Artic and Rigid Trucks, Vans, and Company Cars. This HGV Mechanic role would suit a qualified mechanic who takes pride in their work and is focused on safe, efficient, and high-quality service.

Key duties:

• Service all vehicles to maximise fleet efficiency.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections when due.
• Conduct repairs where possible and bring vehicles to local garages where required.
• Work across different vehicles using the job system.
• Manage time effectively and provide ongoing status reports as required.
• Adhere to workshop systems.
• Manage the workshop area in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Meet deadlines without compromising quality while maintaining efficiency and productivity.

Essential criteria:

• Fully qualified HGV mechanic or in the third or fourth year of a recognised apprenticeship.
• Strong diagnostic experience and general computer literacy.
• Full clean Class C driving licence.
• Ability to work with and as part of a team.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
