Health & Safety Manager | Manufacturing

Our client is a well-established manufacturing operation based in Dublin 12 and forms part of a highly successful market leading organisation. Due to continued focus on operational excellence and employee wellbeing, they are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead and drive all HSE activities across the site.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the HSE Manager will be responsible for leading the site's Health, Safety and Environmental function, ensuring full compliance with legislation, company standards and best practice while driving a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining all aspects of the site's HSE Management Systems.
• Leading all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
• Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring prompt reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Developing, implementing and communicating risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Working closely with Production, Planning, Sales and Finance teams to ensure compliance with HSE procedures and standards.
• Monitoring and reporting on HSE KPIs, driving improvements in site performance and reducing incident rates.
• Coordinating internal and external HSE and environmental audits and ensuring successful outcomes.
• Managing HSE-related capital projects, contractor activities and environmental initiatives.
• Organising and delivering HSE training programmes across the site.
• Managing PPE procurement and other health and safety resources.
• Producing weekly, monthly and annual HSE reports for site and group management.
• Supporting the ongoing development of a positive safety culture throughout the business.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• A recognised Health & Safety qualification and strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, accident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for driving safety performance and continuous improvement.
