ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT | PERMANENT/HYBRID | SWORDS

Are you a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant looking for the next step in your career within Accounts Receivable and Credit Control?

Our client located in Swords is looking for their new team member to join on a permanent basis.

THE ROLE|

You will play a key role in managing accounts receivable and credit control processes by maintaining accurate financial records, improving payment tracking and collection procedures, strengthening financial controls, and supporting informed business decisions through timely reporting and effective debtor management.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30/9am to 5/5.30pm with the option to work from home two days a week based on business requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES|

• Post and reconcile customer receipts across bank accounts, using internal systems and Excel.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts, assist with invoicing, and manage the AR inbox.
• Review debtor accounts and prepare aged debtor reports monthly.
• Follow a structured credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
• Set up payment plans and liaise with legal/debt collection where required.

REQUIREMENTS|

• At least 2 years' experience in a fast-paced Accounts Receivable role with high transaction volumes.
• Clear and confident communicator, particularly in credit control situations.
• Comfortable using Excel (filters, lookups, and data handling).
• Basic understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience with accounting systems such as Xero or Sage.
• Accounting Technician qualification desirable.
