An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Auditor to join a well-established and diversified Irish organisation operating across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, and consumer products.

The Role

Reporting within a collaborative finance and governance structure, the successful candidate will take ownership of the internal audit function and contribute to a range of operational and strategic projects across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and present the Annual Internal Audit Plan based on risk assessment, including timelines and audit priorities

• Plan and deliver internal audit assignments across financial, operational, and systems controls

• Assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and best practice standards

• Prepare clear and detailed audit reports with practical recommendations for improvement

• Monitor and follow up on agreed actions and remediation plans

• Support management teams in enhancing internal controls and governance processes

• Lead and coordinate annual group risk assessment activities

• Participate in ongoing operational and systems-related projects across the organisation

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant and member of a recognised professional accountancy body

• Previous experience within a large accounting firm or internal audit function of a sizeable organisation

• Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders

• Comfortable with challenging existing processes and recommending improvements

• Strong presentation and reporting skills

• Full clean driving licence and own transport required
