I am working with a highly regarded and well-established organisation in Belfast who are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their growing financial reporting team.

This is a genuinely strong opportunity for a qualified accountant who wants exposure to a large, complex business environment with a mix of statutory reporting, audit exposure, process improvement and finance transformation work.

The role offers strong long-term career progression, exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to be involved in ongoing systems and reporting improvements within a modern finance function.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role across:

• Statutory, regulatory and interim financial reporting
• Month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Audit support and liaison with external auditors
• Budgeting, forecasting and business planning support
• Finance systems improvement and reporting automation projects
• ESG reporting implementation and wider finance change initiatives

The business is particularly keen to speak with accountants who enjoy improving processes, working across systems and adding value beyond pure reporting.

What They Are Looking For

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified accountant
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
• Previous audit exposure
• Strong Excel and systems capability
• Experience within large corporate, practice or regulated environments advantageous
• SAP experience beneficial but not essential
