A well-established and growing insurance broker is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their Belfast team.

This is a key hire within a high-performing commercial division, supporting Account Executives across a varied portfolio of mid-market and corporate clients. The role offers strong exposure to complex risks, direct client interaction, and genuine progression opportunities.

The Opportunity

You will play a central role in managing client relationships, supporting new business activity, and overseeing the full renewals lifecycle. This is a position that goes beyond pure administration, offering real involvement in broking strategy, market engagement and client advisory.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives in delivering new business and renewal targets
• Manage the full renewals process including market submissions and negotiations
• Prepare high-quality presentations and reports for clients and insurers
• Handle mid-term adjustments, policy queries and client servicing
• Liaise with insurers to secure competitive terms across multiple classes of business
• Build strong working relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders
• Attend client meetings where appropriate to support relationship development

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 2+ years' experience within commercial insurance (broking or underwriting)
• Strong knowledge across cross-class commercial products
• Experience handling renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
• High attention to detail with strong organisational ability
• Experience using Acturis (desirable)
• Working towards Cert CII (or willingness to do so)
