Full-Time Support Worker - Bangor
Days & Sleep‑In Shifts
£12.71 - £13.12 per hour (DOE)
Staff must be fully flexible to work on a rota basis. Shift patterns will be arranged in line with service requirements, so flexibility is essential.
About the Role
We are recruiting a Support Worker to provide high‑quality, person‑centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and/or acquired brain injuries.
In this rewarding role, you will support individuals to live as independently as possible, make informed choices, and achieve their personal goals, both at home and within their local community.
No formal qualifications are required - we are looking for people with the right values, attitude, and commitment. A full paid induction and ongoing training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals
- Deliver person‑centred support in line with individual support plans and risk assessments
- Respond appropriately to individuals needs or incidents during the night
- Support with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Promote independence, choice, and a calm overnight environment
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met and concerns are reported in line with policy
- Accurately complete night‑time records, reports, and documentation
- Work closely with day staff, managers, and wider teams to ensure continuity of care
Essential Criteria
- Personal or work‑related experience providing care or support (formal or informal experience accepted)
- Full UK driving licence with access to a car
- Ability and willingness to work on a rota basis
- Full flexibility to meet service needs
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Basic digital skills to complete records and use online systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to complete Enhanced Access NI clearance
- Willingness to register with NISCC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council)

- Basic digital skills for record‑keeping and systems use
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel independently (essential for some roles)
