Location: Rathfarnham, Dublin 16
Hours: 37 hours per week / 74 hours per fortnight
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Onsite
About the Role
This Senior Social Worker - Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team supporting adults with severe and enduring mental health needs. The Senior Social Worker will contribute to rehabilitation programmes, helping residents regain independence and improve quality of life. This role would suit an experienced professional seeking a strategic and clinical position in mental health services.
Key Duties:
- Deliver a professional social work service to residents, families, and carers within rehabilitation services
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate social work programmes using evidence-based approaches
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to care planning and goal setting
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records and ensure high standards of clinical care
- Contribute to clinical governance, strategic planning, and operational development
- Provide teaching, training, and support, including practice education for student social workers
- Ensure services are delivered in line with legal, regulatory, and professional standards
- Support research and service development initiatives
Essential Criteria:
- Registration with the Social Work Registration Board at CORU
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent with eligibility for IASW membership
- Minimum five years' post-qualification clinical experience
- Clinical experience with severe and enduring mental health conditions in rehabilitation
- Experience in homeless services and forensic mental health services
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance and healthcare regulations
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in teaching, training, and supporting others
