Social Care Team Leader

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Sunday)

Locations: Cootehill (Cavan)

Our client, a private healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join their Children Residential Services based in Cavan.

The role will ideally suit qualified Social Care Workers who have experience of supporting individuals who present with challenging behaviour.

Key Duties:

• Report to the Manager/Person in Charge.
• Support people with disabilities, autism, or mental health needs - always ensuring privacy, dignity, and respect.
• Support and supervise staff; ensure clear communication.
• Help manage staff issues (discipline, complaints, incidents).
• Handle complaints professionally and follow policy.
• Report any concerns or incidents immediately.
• Quality & Compliance duties.
• Staff training and development.

Essential Criteria:

• Third-level degree in Social Care (e.g. Social Work, Social Care, Psychology, Social Policy, or similar).
• At least 2 years' experience working in residential or similar services with people with disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
• Experience leading a team in a social care or residential setting.
• Full driving licence.
